Time flies, they say, when you’re having fun. And this old adage does seem to hold true for Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza, who couldn’t quite believe that they will already be celebrating the first anniversary of their phenomenal AlDub love team on July 16.

So, despite his incredibly hectic schedule these days, Alden vowed to make time for that momentous day.

“That’s when everything started. Maine and I are very excited… Things went by very quickly, and we’ve never thought we would reach one year,” Alden told reporters at a press conference for TechnoMarine watches, one of the many endorsements he had snagged since the onset of the AlDub fever.

Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza took a short break from their showbiz commitments to visit a sick fan at the Philippine Children's Medical Center in Quezon City on Saturday, June 25. The couple graciously heeded the request of the sick child's dad, who wrote an open letter to Eat Bulaga on Facebook with the hope of cheering his son, who has been confined since May this year.

IT WAS all but sweet serendipity that the phenomenal love team AlDub blossomed in what seemed like an ordinary “Problem Solving” episode of “Juan for All, All For Juan,” a segment of the country’s longest-running noontime show, “Eat Bulaga” last year.

MANILA, Philippines – Alden Richards is one busy man.

And visibly so, as Alden appears on TV every day via shows like Eat, Bulaga! and Sunday Pinasaya, as well as on numerous TVCs, campaigns and billboards. Come July, not only will he be starring with love team partner Maine Mendoza in their first solo starrer Imagine You and Me, but he will also be launching his own book, published by Summit Media. He is also working on his second album under GMA Records, a follow-up to his 2015 five-time platinum album Wish I May.

Despite his hectic schedule, Alden has no complaints at all. “Medyo round-the-clock yung schedule ko lately, and then on weekends, I still work. But what matters to me is I like what I’m doing and I’m having fun with it because I’ve been giving security to a lot of people, especially my family,” says Alden during a presscon at the Mezzanine Bar of B Hotel, launching him as the product ambassador for the Swiss watch brand TechnoMarine.

Alden Richards: 'I can't be done in a day without a watch. It adds confidence. 'Yon nga, parang kapag lumabas ka ng bahay ng wala kang watch, para kang nakahubad.'

Last June 21 (Tuesday), Alden Richards was announced by the luxury watch brand TechnoMarine as it's newest endorser in a press conference held in B Hotel, Scout Rallos, QC.

'Kung akala nila naisiwalat ko na ang buong pagkatao ko sa showbiz, this book is really something personal,' says Alden Richards about his book, which will be released next month.

Alden Richards on Maine Mendoza: 'For a first-timer in the movie industry, she showcased something different in this film. Yun ang nakakatuwa talaga. Hindi ko pa nakikita yun sa kanya when we were doing the Kalyeserye.'

Alden Richards revealed that he was impressed with Maine Mendoza's hardworking attitude in the weeks that they were shooting Imagine You and Me in Italy.
