Alden Richards on Maine Mendoza: 'For a first-timer in the movie industry, she showcased something different in this film. Yun ang nakakatuwa talaga. Hindi ko pa nakikita yun sa kanya when we were doing the Kalyeserye.'
Alden Richards revealed that he was impressed with Maine Mendoza's hardworking attitude in the weeks that they were shooting Imagine You and Me in Italy.
The Pambansang Bae noted that Maine made sure that she delivers whatever's required of her for her scenes.
“If she's given a certain task, she will not be satisfied until she gets the perfect result.
“She's very hardworking, very passionate.
“At saka pro din, e. For a first-timer in the movie industry, she showcased something different in this film.
“Yun ang nakakatuwa talaga. Hindi ko pa nakikita yun sa kanya when we were doing the Kalyeserye.”
PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) briefly chatted with Alden in a chance interview last Friday, June 17.
Off cam, Alden further said that he and Maine spend their time bonding wherever their on-location shoot is.
“On set. Sometimes lang kapag may free time.
“Kasi mostly we're under time pressure so we have to comply with the requirements for the day.
“Kailangan namin matapos regardless.”
But based on their fun photos that circulated online, the two clearly made the most out of their stay in Italy.
Asked about his top three favorite places in Italy, Alden listed Parco di Tremezzo, Bellagio, and the picturesque villas.
PARCO DI TREMEZZO. “Sa movie kasi there's a certain platform you can stand on.
“On that platform, you'll see the view of the Italian alps and the houses in Como.
“Since maraming mountains, hills, the lake—sobrang priceless.”
BELLAGIO. “There are a lot of towns in Como. Everything's so accessible.
“Isang hakbang mo, nandiyan yung gelateria; isang hakbang mo, pizzeria.
“It's a small place you can do a lot of things.”
PICTURESQUE VILLAS. “There's a villa which is supposed to be my house there. It's overlooking the lake.
“So, ang gaganda ng villas dun. Yun ang pinaka-hotel nila.”
