“Pambansang Bae” Alden Richards graces the Asia Pacific Hairdressers and Cosmetologists Association’s (APHCA) welcome revelry for the delegates of the 20th Hair Olympics on October 26. Guests from all over the world will be serenaded by Alden, an actor and platinum-awarded recording artist.
Professional hairstylists from China and Hong Kong are also sure to enthrall the audience with their unique style of presenting the latest hair trends for men and women. The Hair Olympics is an annual event that attracts professional hairdressers and cosmetologists from all over the world. Over the past years, APHCA member countries – Taiwan, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Macau, South Korea, Philippines, China, Japan, Mongolia, Australia, Sri Lanka, and Hongkong – took turns in hosting the international event. This year is special as it comes home to the Philippines, where it all started. Hairdressers and cosmetologists in the Asia Pacific are expected to display their expertise and inventiveness in the following categories: men’s cut and blow dry, avant-garde color, evening party and bridal make-up; the total look and nail art competition and evening party hairstyle. The 20th Hair Olympics, with the support of the Tourism Promotions Board (TPB), Zen Institute, Air Asia, Skin Care Formula by Dr. Alvin, Philbeauty, Selective Professional and Travelpros, will be held at SMX Convention Center Hall 4, Mall of Asia on October 26.
