Alden Richards to enter Encantadia 2016 as Mulawin

Alden Richards will appear in Encantadia requel as Lakan, a Mulawin who will fight for the welfare of the diwatas in Lireo.

Pambansang Bae Alden Richards is set to portray a half-human, half-bird creature in GMA-7's telefantasya.

It was announced in tonight's episode of 24 Oras that Alden will portray a Mulawin named Lakan, who is described as 'makikipaglaban para sa mga diwata.'

In his interview with Nelson Canlas in the said news program, Alden said that he is happy to be a part of the TV series. 'Lumaki ako ng may Encantadia, e.'

According to the 24-year-old actor-TV host, he is already preparing for the said role that entails him to do action scenes. In fact, he just did his costume-fitting earlier today.

He described his preparations by saying, 'Diet, kasi siyempre yung costume. Buti na lang may konting background tayo sa pagwo-workout.'

It has yet to be announced when viewers will start seeing Alden in the Kapuso telefantasya.

It can be recalled that last Sunday, August 14, PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) asked him about the teleserye he will soon be leading with AlDub partner Maine Mendoza, after a PEP insider confirmed this.

However, he said that he is still waiting for details from the management of GMA Network.
