Alden Richards waiting for details about teleserye with Maine Mendoza

Alden Richards says he is still waiting for details about the teleserye that he will do with AlDub partner Maine Mendoza.

According to Alden Richards, he is still waiting for details about the teleserye that he will do with Maine Mendoza.

He said this during an interview with PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) and other reporters during his book launch yesterday, August 14.

“Actually when it comes to teleserye, I really don’t have any idea yet on what will happen.

“Kumbaga, the management hasn’t given any word [yet] on what will happen. I’m just waiting.”

For now, he continues to appear on variety shows of GMA-7.

“Pero sa ngayon po, I’m still doing Eat Bulaga and Sunday PinaSaya.”

It can be recalled that a GMA insider confirmed to PEP that Alden is set to make his teleserye comeback after two years.

However, contrary to the reports that he will reprise the role of Matteo Do in the remake of the Korean drama My Love From The Star, the Pambansang Bae will topbill a drama series where he is paired with his AlDub partner Maine Mendoza.

The teleserye will serve as Alden’s comeback to doing TV dramas after the 2014 GMA News-produced drama series Ilustrado, where he played the role of Jose Rizal.

This is also Maine’s first full-length teleserye after appearing as a guest star in the now defunct daytime teleserye Princess In The Palace.

But as of press time, AlDub Nation will have to wait for further announcements from the Kapuso Network.
